Dr. Brae Anne McArthur
(She/Her)

Principal Investigator

Dr. Brae Anne McArthur is a Registered Psychologist, the Director of the TREC Lab, and an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Guelph and completed her internship at Alberta Children’s Hospital. Her research focuses on understanding the individual and family-level risk and resiliency factors that influence child and youth mental health and well-being. Dr. McArthur applies positive psychology to examine how young people develop psychological strengths that enhance wellness and resilience. Currently, she is involved in evaluating treatment outcomes for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth seeking mental health services and assessing broad community-based interventions designed to support child development and mental health.
